ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Section 1: An Associate Member must be a current and active member for a student category of any reputable local professional organization in Tourism and Hospitality Industry in their country.1

Section 2: An Associate Member must have a professional designation/certification obtained from IACHTP’s recognized training and certifying organizations in tourism and hospitality. Such recognition is only given when the organization requires any of the following: training/seminars/coaching/assessments/skills validation/examination, prior to awarding of designation/certification.

Section 3: those who obtained their professional designation/certification in tourism and hospitality other than Global Professional Advancement (GPA) are required to submit the following documents for the review and approval of the Commission on Professional Certification and Membership (CPCM)2:

  • Accomplished membership form secured from IACHTP CPCM secretariat.
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae highlighting seminars/workshop/trainings attended for the last five (5) years.
  • One (1) recommendation letter, following the prescribed template from CPCM, from current immediate supervisor/manager (for industry/government/NGO professionals), deans/program heads, and previous employers (for academic) or from former professors, deans, program heads (for fresh graduates).
  • Copies of latest proof of training/examination and assessment result.

Section 4: All CAHP and CATP passers duly endorsed by the Global Professional Advancement (GPA) can invoke Automatic Eligibility Recognition without prejudice to a set of standards of the CPCM.3

Section 5: A fee of PHP 500.00 (for Local Applicants), and USD 20.00 (for International Applicants) per annum shall be paid by the applicant. Such an amount will change when a specific resolution is passed by CPCM.
